June 28th will be a big day for the Council. As many of you know, IHM and the Saints for Life group are holding a memorial to the lives lost each day to abortion in the U.S. One white cross will be placed for each life lost daily to abortion. On Monday, June 28, Recorder Eric Ritchie’s wife, Amy, and the members of the ladies CRHP Team 15 will hold a Prayer at the Crosses beginning at 7PM. All friends and family of the Parish and the public are invited to come and pray at the crosses. Bring your rosary, a chair, and something to drink. They would like to see as many people as possible come to pray for all the children whose lives were ended by abortion, and for an end to the evil.
The same evening, at 7:30pm, the Council will hold its Mass/Social meeting. Following the Mass, seminarians Eric Boelscher and Mike Hennigan, who are members of our Council, will discuss their experiences as Seminarians, and how the laity can help with their Vocation.
Also following the Mass will be the induction of officers for the Ladies Auxiliary of Council 5453. All of the wives of our Council are invited to be a part of the Ladies Auxiliary. This would be a good opportunity to meet and get to know the current members and their activities.
It will be an exciting evening, and we hope you will plan to attend the Prayer at the Crosses, and the Council Mass/Social on June 28.
